Since I already had most of the older ILWW issues, I decided to create pages for the entire series, obtain what sets I was missing up to this year, and mount them. I didn't realize what a chore I was setting up for myself. First, I ran out of mounts to adequately mount the ones I already did have, then I had to find the rest.
One set in particular drove me nuts, and I ended up buying it twice. Another one drove me really nuts -- couldn't find it, and when I did, the dealer sent it to the wrong address. When I checked with him after two weeks of non-delivery, he said the order was returned to him (address unknown), and rectified the situation. Unfortunately, he left out one se-tenant pair and I had to wait a week longer until the missing stamps arrived.
That being said, now that I'm complete up to 2012, and have the spaces (sans Scott #) for the 2013 set, I have to say I'm pleased with the effort. The ends, for sure, justify the means and the frustration of the experience.
And isn't that what stamp collecting is all about?
