Hey khich,, I lived in Jersey for over 20 years - briefly in Bergen County, then a lot of places downdashore. (Including Toms River, Ebbo.) Everything I know I learned from reading the Noowwuk Stollidge. (Newark Star-Ledger, for all you tourists out there: in the 70s and 80s possibly the finest local newspaper in the United States, and at 15¢ on weekdays, inarguably the best deal.)
I moved to Connecticut in the 1990s and still can't get used to calling the shore "the coast".
MourningDoves, I've lived on and off in Jersey. Also lived in long island(Nassau county) . Worked for some time in Connecticut(or "the coast" , hehe) as well. NJTransit,Metro North and LIRR - i've seen them all
