Happy New Year everyone. I was just wondering if anyone has made any New Years resolutions concerning their stamp collections? Let us in on your resolutions, whether it be to revive a long dormant collection, to redouble your efforts on completing a particular collection, or...you name it. Mine are pretty simple, I want to apply more time and resources to my Iceland and Rhodesia collections and, above all, to try to put together at least one giveaway. Oh yeah....to buy more stamps!!!
“The President of today is just the postage stamp of tomorrow.” ~ Gracie Allen
I collect US, Canal Zone, Hawaii, Canada & Provinces, Rhodesia, British Virgin islands, British Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, French Polynesia, Great Britain, Iceland, Third Reich Germany and whatever catches my eye.
My goal this year is to actually spend some more time with my stamps, create custom pages for my topical collections and mount stamps on the pages. I also want to be more active here and on other forums. My last goal for 2020 is to add more posts to my personal site.

First - Get what I have organized before buying anything else! I bet we've ALL made that resolution at one time or another!
I also made a resolution to actually make wish lists for trading my better stuff. Colnect is making that process a heck of a lot faster and easier than I EVER imagined.
Selling is so BRUTAL right now - yields are waaaay below face value - so I made a resolution to give up on trying to sell and concentrate on trading instead. If I'm going to give stuff away for peanuts I'd rather just flatout give it to friends. Exception - Stamporama auctions where there are no fees.
And I'm going to steal this spiffy thread idea for the two other forums I participate in - Stamporama and The Stamp Forum. heh heh heh
My main resolution is to use up as postage more stamps than I buy for postage this year.
I am a letter writer, snailmail addict. I send therefore I receive. I also manage a letter writing/correspondence forum called A World of Snail Mail and have a blog (link is in my profile). I sometimes post pictures on Instagram (username morgaine_does_snail_mail) Stamp themes - science, nature, postal history, maps, nice stamps.
Just to remind people I inherited an accumulation of stamps a couple of years ago and this rekindled my interest as I used to collect when I was younger- well the accumulation is now organised into countries and some of those countries are even in stock books. With that in mind here are my 2020 goals....
Organise what I have before buy anything else!(well ... Ok I have an active fantasy life)
Soak all kiloware I have, and of course find that penny black that I am sure is somewhere in it....
Begin mounting stamps on Steiner pages.Note I said begin....
Organise want lists for trading
Continue trading in the 100 stamps club and still have fun in this forum
Already suffering from a bad case of collection creep as I am currently collecting Used only - Australia, Great Britain, Canada, Ireland, Western Europe, and Scandinavia, from 1900 to date. Oh and I am interested in Artists and Art on stamps ... Trying to avoid becoming a WW collector.
