I have had 2 copies of the Scott# 17 and knew that the first one was a red lilac and thought the second one was a #17b Brown. Well I have a third copy and at first thought it was a #16. But a #16 has a perf 11.75 and this has a perf 12.

My question, after looking at all 3 stamps, what colors do I have here?

It is described as deep brown violet.

No real changes from your 1992 Unitrade to my 2014 copy

Kris, I checked my 1991 GB catalogue and for your stamp (12 perf), it lists the following:
SG33 black-brown
SG33b deep red-purple
SG34 purple
SG35 brownish purple
SG36 brown (to pale)
SG37 dull violet
SG38 bright red-purple
