Materials used 4 exhibits online VS exhibits at stamp shows

Hi Everyone,
hope the thread title is describing accurately the question I've had in my mind for a long time about my Canal Zone collection.
Fellow collector A - encourages me to show or share photos of my collection online, and hopes that some day I would be able to form an exhibit out of them to be shown at a stamp show.
Fellow collector B - Advised that for some pieces which I wish to use in future stamp show competitions should not be shown. If my entire collection is readily available to all, then my exhibit would not have any interesting elements to it.
While I'm more than willing to scan my covers and compile them into a nice album, or maybe create an exhibit and upload online, I do take in mind what Fellow B says. So only a few friends have seen some of my nicer items (in person). But I'm not really sure who is correct.
What are your thoughts on this ?
