Welcome, Johnny. If your light is pinkish (short-wave UV) it's great for killing bacteria & viruses (Corona) as well as detecting phosphorescence on stamps, but you have to be very careful to protect your eyes from it. If the light is purple (long-wave UV), it's a black light, best for detecting fluorescence, and not anywhere near as bad for your eyes. Regards, Bill
