Old Bulgaria Lot (With Bavaria)

It's too hot and humid to do anything outside today, so, my default option being permanently set to stampiness, there I was.
Surfing that big auction site, with frosty iced sun-tea & lemon juice Arnold Palmer in hand, I came across this $1.99 Buy-It-Now lot (free shipping), listed as 'Bulgaria Mint Hinged Used Hinged':
It wasn't too hard to notice that about half of the stamps were actually from Bavaria, but what really caught my eye were these four unused stamps:
There are three types of this embossed shield. These are all the earliest type, of which three different watermarks exits, some being quite pricey but none completely terrible. The quickest way to spot these early ones is that the lions are standing on a horizontal bar. In the later types, they're standing on foliage.
I don't wager money on cards, dice, horses, or the like, but I immediately snapped up this lot. I reckoned that the watermarks were probably not a particular consideration while these were being casually kicked around as 'Bulgarian' for however-long, so snagging this lot didn't seem like much of a gamble to me, you know?
