As I mentioned in my thread in the wanted forum, I recently had the opportunity to purchase an antique stamp perforator!
Most of the antique perforators that show up for sale seem to be large models that have iron legs and stand on the floor. The one I purchased is a tabletop model. It measures only 18 inches long and less than 6 inches deep, but still weighs nearly 45 pounds!
I'm not sure who made the perforator, though my guess is it probably dates to the early 20th century. It's in good shape with only a few broken or missing pins at either end, so I can create an unbroken line of perforations about 8 inches long. Here's a closeup of the pins.
These things don't seem to be especially common, so I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone might have about it.
