Stamp Information Gathering Presentation Methodology

So I've been thinking about how to store information about stamps and keep track of data about them that I gather from various sources. When one of my favorite sources for this kind of information went dark recently it made me think about building my own resources and storing it on my PC instead of counting on various web pages.
What methods do you use to capture and keep information like this?
This is just a screen shot of the web page I created on my PC. In the picture you can see the first two issues of 2014, on the actual web page you can click on the pictures, the stamp picture brings up a pop-up window with a large version of the picture. The postal bulletin picture brings up a pdf copy of the actual postal bulletin that had the data about the stamps. The bulletin has even more details than I put on the page, the second pic shows a sample from inside the bulletin. I put the page number too so I can be reminded where to turn to for more information.
