My wife and I visited the Interurban Railway Museum, in Plano, TX, yesterday. On display, outside, was a Railway Post Office car. I'd like to share some pictures.

The "direct deposit" facility. It had a standard commode to sit on, with an open bottom that deposited your assets directly to the ground. The area directly to the left of the door handle is a drinking water dispenser.

Thanks for posting these great pictures. The museum looks very interesting and if I am ever in the area, I would definitely check it out.

As for the pictures of the Post Office car, it reminded me of the streetcars we have here in New Orleans. Very similar....
