I purchased two used classic singles for my Heirloom album because I got tired of seeing those blank spaces! They are nowhere near pristine but they are sound anyway. I'm thinking a good soak in warm soapy water will help ressurect ole Abraham Lincoln as I normally have god luck with this type of material.

Scott #148 6¢ Carmine Lincoln.

Scott #400A orange variety.

Use only a very small amount of water, and if the water takes on a pink color, pull the stamp out before it fades too much!

I'm working on that proof thread right now. It's getting a little more involved than I had originally wanted so I have to thin it out and make it reader friendly as well as trying to fit it into the forum regulations of one image per post which makes it extremely difficult.
