As a few of you have read i am also exploring the idea of trying my hand at model trains..
there was a conversation in another thread that i may want to expand upon here in a semi-stampy and certainly non-stampy manner.
so what better place than "off topic" ??
for the record here is a quote from the thread
1st and fore most.. GREAT COVERS!!! all of them...
2nd i preemptively apologize for the rest of my reply as it will be 100% off topic.. i will however direct further conversation to the appropriate thread...
The US's 2013 international rate Christmas stamp. Looks pretty good to me.
This cover is great and and relevant (to me) sense i am exploring this as a secondary hobby. in fact i am getting ready to take the first few steps into building a lay out..
He might abandon stamps and go for model railroads.
That sure is a nice cover, though, also with the postmark beautifully matching the stamp.
while i am exploring it i dont think i would ever give up my stamps!! nor our board my man,.. so smiley-taunt014
i have read about "postage stamp train" sets which are in N-Scale (the size i am going to start off in) and now after seeing this amazing cover i wonder about "cross over" type collections and items that i could obtain that may make this blending of hobbies even more fun than they are already. (hard to picture as i enjoy the heck out of them both thus far [even though i am only in the planning stages with trains right now] )
