About two months ago, I have purchased some 1960-1967 issue 3d Wilding definitives and have only now come around to scanning them and placing them into my album and so on.
But I have in my catalogue SG 615 (which has two phosphor bands); SG 615c (which has either a right or left band); SG 615e (which has a centre band).
I definitely have SG 615c (a right banded variant), but I also have a centre banded one.
Now here is where my problem lies... I am pretty sure I have bought SG 615e AND I also bought SG 615ce (this one is not in my catalogue, but it was in my dealer's and we were discussing this stamp in particular - I even noted it down in my catalogue next to the list - next to SG 615e, to be precise as maybe I meant that it was instead of SG 615e, noting it had a centre band).
But I can only come across one stamp with a centre band. I'm pretty sure I bought both SG 615e and SG 615ce. But I may either have lost one (and I couldn't see that happening, as they've been sitting in my drawer all this time), or I may have just got confused between SG 615e and SG 615ce.
So... the main question is... what is SG 615ce? And how is it different from SG 615e? They both have centre bands... so is there something that my catalogue isn't telling me (it isn't the Stanley Gibbons Concise... I only have the simplified "Collect British Stamps" one)?
