Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man - decimal stamps still valid?

The decimal Channel Island stamps are still valid. But technically they are ONLY valid when posting from the Channel Island that issued them. They cannot be used to pay for postage on mail posted from UK. This is stated explicitly on the Royal Mail website:



Note that these rules apply ONLY to Royal Mail. Some other countries DO allow partial or full interchangeability with local island issues, but you should check their websites to see if the rules have changed. More and more postal administrations are running into financial difficulties and are changing the rules to reduce financial liabilities.
