After sadly allowing my collection to lay dormant for the better part of two years... more like about 19 months but I digress... my New Year's resolution was to get back to some of the things that I find joy in, to get back to what makes me happy. Yeah, sure, money makes me happy but after an extended bout of 60-75 hour work weeks that thankfully ended summer past the time is available again. On a side note to all the overtime I'm very proud to have played a part in constructing America's two newest nuclear power plants (Vogtle 3 & 4 in Georgia) and the world's first and only MOX plant in South Carolina. FYI, MOX = Mixed Oxide and along the way doing my small part to help reduce the world's nuclear stockpile! Not at all a bad thing.
So once I pulled out my collection and begin to lay it all out and determine where a good re-start point might be it quickly became very obvious where to start... sort, sort, sort and sort some more!
That said my current and probably ongoing project for a spell will be sorting. As you can see from the image below I've got my work cut out for me.
Those are gallon size Zip-Loc bags each containing no less than a pound apiece! The top half of the bags is mostly recent US and the lower half is WW kiloware I originally bought right here on StampBears from Bear himself. With four days off work for the holiday and nasty, overcast, drizzling rain weather hanging out inside and knocking a hole in the sorting is the order of the day and most likely the bulk of the weekend. I've gone through four of this bags this week so far.
Once I've sorted through all of this stuff and plucked from it what I want for my collection y'all better hold on because I'm going to flood the market with this stuff!
