I know we all go through it... The collection is going along great, spaces getting filled, your brain is expanding with each bit of research you do.. then BAM. stall.. then a few weeks goes by and things start falling into place again...
days or weeks go by and all is right in your stampy world..... BAM another stall or even a brick wall....
Many of you know that i am trying to get my stampy kick started again and running on all cylinders, but a number of things get in the way.. some less intentional than others..
For me stamp time is a long period of time.. i need to break out my albums, catalog, hinges, tongs, etc., etc. and then of course the bin or pages i am working from.. set up in another room (provided i do not have to prepare the area first, which adds to the situation) and start to work on the collection. Typically i do not mind this process of pre-collection time, collection time, pick up and finish... as long as i have a SOLID 2 hours. other wise in most cases it just is not worth the time to get things ready.
With all of this complaining aside... i have found 2 ways to keep interest high and of course that great feeling of an amazing find.... Stamp Bears & Giveaways..
I am not really sure that i have to explain the feeling i have for this community. If i do then you have not been a member here for long and you certainly have not read the history thread or noted some of the other posts i have made... (psssstt - i recommend looking them up, they are worth the read)....
And of course - GIVEAWAYS!!!
I know this seems counter-intuitive and certainly counterproductive, but it really is not.. In the feedback thread set up for me a few members (most recently Mr. Gordon Lee ) have noted items that they found in some of the prize packs. On our Facebook page the winner of our most recent drawing was kind enough to snap a photo and share it with us.
I keep reading and watching posts for great stamps here and i keep trying to find time to post giveaways.. this keeps me connected, engaged, and extremely happy to be part of this wonderful hobby.
Over the next 48 hours (or so) i will be running a game with hidden clues in some of my replies to various posts. I will tell you that using copy and paste may be the easiest (if not the only) way that you will be able to discover the clues. Like this one here the number 1
Keep track of these clues and see if they add up... At the end of this game there will be a prize..
But since most of you have not looked very hard you may have missed a clue hidden above.
good luck to all players.
