Say goodbye to the lick-and-stick U.S. stamp

i did not know that they even still made them here in the US.. i have not seen any modern lick and stick postage.. ever...

There are calories in that licky gum.. (according to Royal Mail in a tweet... commemoratives are more fattening than Machin...)

This makes me sad. I wish they'd go back to nothing but WAG on engraved stamps featuring nothing but historical events. I think this makes me old.

WAG = Water Activated Gum

When I was in school, and I wrote assignments, the usage way of using an "ACRONYM" was required to avoid misunderstanding.  May I suggest to all posters to always spell out the words first then use ( ) around the letters of the acronym, so everybody is on the same page.  

When I read WAG I was unaware of what it meant, I then Googled it, but nothing seemed to fit.  I would kindly suggest WAG is not a well known acronym.

Hope everybody takes this in the vein it was meant, lets make our writing easier for old and new stamp collectors.

If this posting is not in the correct place, I trust the Administrators will move it to the appropriate location, I could not decide which location it should go to.

Again, I'm just trying to improve out Stamp Bears.
