Newest purchase

Well after a long on and off again search, which we have looked at various houses online and never really went to look at (except one other) we, JohnnyO and I, decided to expand our range to a few other smaller communities... okay, I agreed to allow certain other small towns into the mix as I was the hold out of the two of us. Also encouraging us that it was time to uproot was a letter received in the mail from the property owner offering a cash incentive to leave, something in the vicinity of $3k supposedly (the lady at the office has to call me tomorrow). So off to Brighton ON we go to actually look at some properties. One was a wreck once we went inside, the building had about a 30% lilt to it and there was a NASTY odour of urine in the back of the house. One ceiling was covered in plastic soil bags another was falling in, the only cure for that house was a wrecking ball. Mind you, this was the second house we went and looked at. The first one was a two story Victorian, 3bdrm 2bth on a nice sized corner lot. Most of the original trim was still in place, and there was work needed on the property but nothing John couldn't handle. So we saw the two houses, with our new agent, thanked him and told him we would think on it. We thought about it, came up with some ideas and went through the should we shouldn't we bit and found ourselves at the Real Estate agents office two days later. Filled out the paper work, made an offer at around 3pm and then left the office to wait. 7:30 rolls around and we get a call. John answers it and I am in the kitchen straining my ears to overhear... and his voice is totally deadpan, no excitement in  it what so-ever. He hangs up the phone and comes into the kitchen and says I have good news and bad news... I thought we had lost the house or worse another bidder was in the mix. I told him just give me the news whatever it is... John replies with the bad news is.... there is no bad news... they took the offer. So after a second meeting with the Agent to drop off a deposit cheque we are the brand new owners of this.....



Now mind you this was the listing Agents picture on the realtor web site, we have others but, they were specific to things was have to deal with. The lot is 66'x132' with a big maple out back and is on a corner lot. Lots of gardening and deck room and I can now get my dog
