Drawing outside the perforations

I noticed that Netherlands stamps after about 1985 break with tradition in several ways, becoming collage-like in many cases or sometimes disjointed.
Of course, examples abound in souvenir sheets of images continuing on to
adjacent stamps. There are also examples of making extra use of
selvage.
Here, though, is an odd type of change -- drawing lines beyond the perf when there is no particular reason to do so.
Any other such examples from other countries?
In the top pair the lines under ct and 1988 travel on to the next stamp, but perform no particular function there.
The bottom stamp takes this artistic license a bit further. (Note also how 5 line continues from the 6 and breaks up in the middle.)
