It was a British journalist, Bill Connor, whose pen-name was Cassandra, who, having had to give up his journaling for WW2, announced as he again took up his pen in 1945 'As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted....'
My long absence from this (and all other similar sites) was occasioned less by the need for me to eliminate German fascism, and more by the total devastations caused by Photobucket fascism. Welcome back rayb! I suggest that you save a copy of all your photobucket stuff onto your hard drive just to be safe. You could make a cloud copy onto Google Photos where it doesn't cost anything for images if you wanted to be extra safe!
Worldwide collector of stamps and covers! I gave up on limiting to only certain countries. APS # 231136
Frozen treats scratch n sniff.... received a few of those on letters recently...
I wonder though, does the future hold scratch n sniff for drinks? Alcoholic, or fizzy, or even a cocktail of both? Would you buy?
I am a letter writer, snailmail addict. I send therefore I receive. I also manage a letter writing/correspondence forum called A World of Snail Mail and have a blog (link is in my profile). I sometimes post pictures on Instagram (username morgaine_does_snail_mail) Stamp themes - science, nature, postal history, maps, nice stamps.
