That bank disappeared and was re-established in 2009.
Amsterdamsche Bank is the "AM" in the Dutch banking group ABN AMRO Group. In 2007, this was acquired by Fortis Group, RBS and Banco Santander (BSCH) and split up. During the financial crisis, Fortis Group failed. The Belgian and Dutch governments nationalised it and split it up. The Dutch government split the insurance division from the banking division. The banking division was renamed ABN AMRO Bank.
The "RO" stands for Rotterdamsche Bank. Amsterdamsche Bank and Rotterdamsche Bank merged in 1964 and became AMRO Bank.
