Found in a box of incoming donation material. These are on piece from the back flap of the envelope. That is all I have, not the entire envelope.
I did a little bit of reearch ... well, it's like an onion and there are many layers to unravel. I tossed a couple of Wikipedia links in, not because it is the best source of information, but it is a good starting point.
Tsawwassen is a community of Delta, BC ... which is a city on a peninsula that juts into the Strait of Georgia. I think that the peninsula is called the Tsawwassen Peninsula.
At the bottom of that peninsula is a little piece of the USA ... Point Roberts, WA. Apparently the Oregon Treaty set the boundary between the United States and the United Kingdom (later Canada) was the 49th Parallel. It is possible to travel by air or water to Point Roberts from other parts of Washington State, but there is no public transportation. A temporary ferry line was established with Blaine, WA when the border with Canada was closed due to COVID-19. Otherwise, you can drive 40 minutes / 25 miles through Canada to get from Point Roberts to Blaine. School children from the fourth grade on must take that bus ride.
Back to Tsawwassen, the community. There is a ferry boat terminal that serves other parts of British Columbia. The ferry boat terminal is on the lands of the Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN), which extend to the northweat of the terminal. The TFN was the first First Nation of British Columbia to complete a treaty with the province.
OK, so I have found no references to the Tsawwassen Local Post in all this. Is it a local post set up by someone to move mail quickly between Point Roberts and the rest of the USA? Perhaps it is a local post related to the TFN? Something else? I am full of speculation, but devoid of facts here.
I hope that one of the students of Cinderellas here has more information about it ... now I have become curious.
