Here's a nice start, a pre-Castro Cuban propaganda postcard to HARRY TRUMAN
Text of this (1950 or 1951) pre-printed, hand signed Post Card to Truman:
Mr. President of the United States of North America, thousands of Cuban workers are confident that the Government that you so worthily preside over will recognize in the bilateral renegotiations that are taking place in Washington between the Government of Cuba and the United States the urgent need that our people have to raise the tariff rates for fabrics in our country by the same amount that other countries maintain in force, so that with that just protection they can reopen their doors to textile factories that today remain closed and their workers in unemployment, without this meaning the disappearance of Decree 1005 that created the Textile Fund, as this would immediately result in the greatest distress for thousands of workers who today receive their benefit. From yours respectfully, Delia Fernandez
(From May 1951 news articles: DUTY CONCESSIONS TO CUBA PROTESTED; Textile Exporters Here Ask U.S. Aid Against Rates Set at Torquay Parley... Schedule Permits Increases of Up to 419% on Rayons and 116% on Cotton Fabrics... A formal protest against the tariff agreement on textiles between the United States and Cuba, negotiated at the Torquay Conference, was filed with the State Department yesterday by the Textile Export Association of the United States...)
