The 1852 Scinde Dawks, India #A1-3, were the first postage stamps in all of Asia. The design is the seal of the British East India Company.
Scinde, then in British India, (now a Pakistani province in the Indus Valley), contains the famous radioactive 5,000 year old ruins of Mohenjo-daro. The Dawk was an ancient native postal service that the British decided needed improving.
The white and blue ones were embossed on paper, the red ones were impressed into sealing wax. Very few of any of them have survived.
SCV for the three is $53,600 if genuine, too bad these gorgeous babies are FAKES.
