What can you tell me about this stamp?
I know it's Germany Scott #510 but I've never seen an overprint like this....or is it just a very well placed post mark?
Or did someone just take some frustrations out on Adolf?

From Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia:
The Free Republic of Schwarzenberg (German: Freie Republik Schwarzenberg) was a de facto independent entity that existed for several weeks after the German capitulation on May 8, 1945. After the surrender of Germany, the districts of Schwarzenberg, Stollberg and Aue were left unoccupied. Neither American nor Russian troops occupied the area. The reason for this is not known. An explanation may be that the Soviets and Americans agreed to halt on the banks of the river Mulde. However, there are several rivers with this name, and the Schwarzenberg area lies between them. Another possible explanation may be that the Allies just forgot to enter the area. The 'government' of the Free Republic of Schwarzenberg ruled over 21 towns. It issued its own money and postage stamps. The republic ceased to exist when Soviet troops entered it.

I wonder how common forgeries of these issues are? Perhaps sforgca can chime in on this.

Unless you have a really bad imitation or a known fake cancel, not physically having the stamp in question makes authenticating difficult if it is a decent fake

In the case above it is a bad fake
There are 2 Schwarzenberg overprints used a few months apart
They are similar but one has the word "Schwarzenberg" (rough uneven letters) under the castle image
Here are 2 originals

And a fake - the cancel & lettering are too "perfect" ,angular & wrong font

These often appear in "full sets" on the eFraud auctions
Bottom line - most of these overprinted "Alliierte Besetzung" (Allied Occupation) stamps were limited in quantity and validity
Genuine full sets should command big premiums
Only buy with guarantees

And it seems like I could rub the ink off with my finger - that's what made me think someone may had just doodled on it.
