Barcodes on stamps - how do you feel about this?

Looks like the barcodes on both the Germany and GB stamps take up 1/3 of the stamp design. If the barcode was smaller, maybe I would be okay with it. But looking at the current design, I dont care for them at all.

Maybe incorporate the barcode in the design of the stamps some how. That my 2¢ worth.

The barcode on the commemorative stamp looks quite good here..

One thing with the German definitive - no fake perforation... 

There are really two kinds of counterfeiters. The ones who just want to make money and the ones who want to destabilize a postal system. The ones who just want to make money, they don't care about the barcodes because they don't care if the stamps make it through the mail. They're already off in a non-extradition country with the money. It's the ones who want to screw over the post office that might care, but not for long because most post offices using barcodes aren't barcoding every single stamp uniquely, they're just letting a bunch pass through with the same code until they decide they've done enough and stop. Counterfeiters can just copy a bunch of codes and print to their heart's desire and cause millions in damage, or, more likely, they can just figure out what the algorithm that the post office is using to set up the codes and just print them by the millions. This is not going to solve the problem, any more than tagging did.
