I just won a lot of Canadian stamps today and included are two Jubilee stamps with beautiful flag cancels. In the past I have had partial flag cancels on small definitives but this the first time I have had practically complete cancels. Under the union jack in the upper corner of one stamp is the letter "B" and on the other cancellation no letter appears in the same spot. The upper stamp has vertical lines across the width of the flag while the lower stamp has horizontal lines. Can anyone give me information on these flag cancellations?

I found a .pdf document that carries some info on flag cancellations. It is still not as detailed as I need. The .pdf document is 10 MB and the particular article of interest was written by a Dr. M.
